Ardillie Jane Brooks was born Oct. 11, 1856, maiden name was Norman, died May 11, 1927.

She professed religion and joined the regular Baptist at White Oak, about the age of 21 years. Later she moved her membership to Union Hill regular Baptist church and lived a consistent member till death. She was the mother of 4 children, 3 living and 1 dead.

Her Husband crossed the silent River some few years ago.

Farewell children, she has gone to live with Husband and Father where separation never comes. She will be missed at church and by all who knew her. We can only say good bye for a while, by the grace of God we hope to meet her where congregations never break up, nor Sabbaths never end.

McCraw

William Riley McCraw was born August 16, 1856, died Dec. 24, 1926, age 70 years, 4 months and 8 days.

He married Miss Fannie Eades Dec. 2, 1885. To this union were born tem children, 8 girls and two boys, one girl and 1 boy dead, 8 girls (as given) and 1 boy living, two girls married. The widow, still living has five grand children.

Brother Will professed a hope in Christ and joined Union Baptist church, at Oak Grove January 1902, and lived his profession and loved the church to which he belonged unto the end. His home was a good home and one to be admired by all who visited it. He was a man of mild temper, spoke well of his neighbors, and to all appearance seemed to be a good husband and father to wife and children. He was owner of good property but did not worship it as an idol. So farewell husband and father.
How often have you looked for me and Oftimes seen me come,
But Now I must depart from thee, never more to return.
2. For I can never come to thee, let not this grieve your heart
For you will shortly come to me, Where we shall never part.

Casstevens

Rev. W.H. A. Casstevens was born Jan. 30, 1848, died Feb. 26, 1915, age 67 years, 26 days.

Married Jemima Bryant 1867. Unto this union were born e’even (eleven) children, 5 living and 6 dead. He professed a Hope in Christ at an early age and was ordained to preach the Gospel of Christ, and when New Bethel church was organized, moved his membership to New Bethel. He remained a consistent member until death. He was a good shepherd to his church and has been so badly missed, so in the year 1915 the Lord saw fit to call him home. Our loss has been his gain. A precious one from us is gone. A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our home Which will never be filled.

Carlton

Mrs. Sarah T. Wishon Carlton was born Nov. 26, 1864, died Aug. 26, 1926, age 61 years, nine days.

She was married to Mr. Bloom Carlton May 5, 1881. Unto this union were born 13 children, 9 living 4 having departed this life. She professed a faith in Christ at the age of fifteen years. She joined the Baptist church and lived a consistent Christian life until death.

Sister Carlton was a faithful mother. Kindness was her practice. She was a loving mother and a faithful wife. We are bound to surrender to God’s will. It was the Lord’s will to take mother away. It is so hard to give her up. She died sitting in her chair. Death came so she never had a struggle. She calmly went to meet Jesus just like she was going to sleep. Death was only a dream. Let us all take warning. Let us live so we can all meet mother in the Glory Land where parting is no more, and farewells are never spoken.

She lived so close to the Lord and walked the straight and narrow way unto we all have to surrender to the Lord’s will: we will Have to say, The Lords will be done, not ours.
Good bye aunt Rhoda Shores until we meet on that celestial shore!
