Slave records represent a dark part of our country’s past, covering events that are uncomfortable and difficult to understand. However, they also provide unique information about the lives of our ancestors. We’ll discuss Wilkes County Slave records and look at examples of documents that reveal more about our local history.

This hour-long history presentation is included with your admission to tour the Museum’s historic properties.
